Phosphate-Buffered Saline (PBS) with Thimerosal (0.01 m, pH 7.5)

Add 1.1 g of anhydrous Na2HPO4, 0.28 g NaH2PO4.H2O, 9 g NaCl, and 0.04 g thimerosal to 800 mL of distilled H2O. Adjust pH to 7.5 (with HCl, 2 n) and add distilled H2O up to 1 L.

Store up to 6 mo at room temperature.
