l-Cysteine Solution

Add 120 mg of l-cysteine hydrochloride (Sigma-Aldrich C6852) to 10 mL of filtered, autoclaved Milli-Q H2O or H2O for tissue culture. Store 2 wk at 4°C or up to 1 yr at −20°C.

The l-cysteine solution is used to activate papain.
