TSB Medium with Tween 20

1. Dissolve 30 g of TSB powder (BD 211825) in a final volume of 1 L of H2O.

2. Add 500 µL of Tween 20 (Sigma-Aldrich P9416) for a final concentration of 0.05% (v/v), stir vigorously with a stir bar on a stir plate to mix, and then autoclave for 15 min at 121°C.

The solution will turn cloudy after autoclaving but clear up again once cooled down to room temperature.

3. Once cooled to room temperature, add, if required, the necessary antibiotics to the desired concentration from a 100×–1000× stock solution.

4. Store for up to several months at room temperature.
