Sugar Solution (10%, w/v)
Prepare 10% (w/v) sucrose [human food grade] in H2O.
Optional: Include 0.1% (w/v) methylparaben (e.g., Spectrum Chemical 99-76-399-76-3).

If the solution includes methylparaben, store at room temperature to prevent methylparaben precipitation; the solution is stable for months.

If the solution does not include methylparaben, store at 4°C; once used at room temperature replace within a week.
