LB Agar Plates
7.5 g agar (Millipore-Sigma 05039-500G)
16 g of Bacto Tryptone (Millipore-Sigma T7293-1KG)
10 g of yeast extract (Millipore-Sigma 70161-2.5KG)
5 g of NaCl (Millipore-Sigma S3014-5KG)
Mix to dissolve and adjust pH to 7.0 with 5 n NaOH. Adjust to 1 L with distilled H2O. Sterilize by autoclaving. Add an appropriate antibiotic to the desired concentration before pouring plates.
Store plates for up to 1 mo at 4°C.
