10% (w/v) Lactose Stock Solution

Prepare a 10% (w/v) solution of d-Lactose monohydrate (Fisher Scientific L5-500) in H2O. Filter sterilize and store at room temperature (in 100-mL aliquots) for up to 1 yr.
