Recipe

Mixture A
2-Dodecenylsuccinic acid anhydride (DDSA)	62 ml
Glycid ether 100 (Epon 812)	100 ml

Mixture B
Glycid ether 100 (Epon 812)	100 ml
Methyl nadic anhydride (MNA)	89 ml

Prepare mixtures A and B in separate beakers while stirring. The mixtures are stable for 6 months if stored at −20°C.

Combine 5 ml of mixture A, 5 ml of mixture B, and 0.15 ml of 2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol while stirring. This will yield blocks of medium hardness. The proportions of mixtures A and B can be varied according to the desired hardness of the blocks (for harder blocks, increase the amount of mixture B relative to the amount of mixture A).
