GSEM buffer

Reagent Quantity (for 1 mL) Final concentration
EDTA, 0.5 M (pH 8.0) 0.5 mL 25 mM
Guanidine thiocyanate 5 g 50%
Sarkosyl (Na salt) 0.05 g 0.5%
Adjust the pH to 7.0. Do not autoclave. Store at 4°C.
Just before use, add 0.1% β-mercaptoethanol.
