Dextran sulfate

RO-H₂O (RNase-free H₂O that has been purified by reverse osmosis [18 MΩ])

For a 50% (w/v) stock solution, dissolve 50 g of dextran sulfate in 100 mL of RO-H₂O. Add the powder gradually to the RO-H₂O on a heated, magnetic stirrer to avoid clumping. After the dextran sulfate has dissolved, aliquot the solution and store at −20ºC.
