Hybridization solution for zebrafish embryos

Reagent Amount to add Final concentration
Formamide (spectral grade; IBI Scientific IB72020) 25 mL 50% (v/v)
50 mg/mL heparin (Sigma-Aldrich H9399) 50 μL 50 μg/mL
20X SSC 12.5 mL 5X
50 mg/mL tRNA (yeast; Sigma R6750) 500 μL 500 μg/mL
20% Tween 20 (Sigma-Aldrich P1379) 250 μL 0.1% (v/v)
H2O (sterile) to 50 mL --
To adjust the pH to 6.0, add 460 μL of 1 M citric acid (to a final concentration of 92 mM).
Store at -20°C.
