PBS-EDTA stop solution

Reagent Quantity (for 1 L) Final concentration
EDTA (0.5 M, pH 8.0) 20 mL 10 mM
Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) without CaCl2 or MgCl2 (1X) to 1 L
Stir 0.8 L of 1X PBS with the EDTA. Adjust the pH to 6.0 with 1 N HCl, and then the final volume to 1 L with 1X PBS. This can be stored at room temperature indefinitely. Before using, add 50 μL of Tween 20 to each 50-mL aliquot, and vortex to dissolve the Tween 20.
