10 mM Tris-Cl (pH 8.0)

1.5 mM MgCl₂

10 mM KCl

1 mM dithoithreitol (DTT)

50 mM sucrose

0.05% Nonidet P-40 (NP-40)

1× cOmplete protease inhibitor cocktail tablet (EDTA-free; Roche-11-873-580-001)

1 mM PMSF (phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride)

The DTT, protease inhibitor tablet, and PMSF must be added fresh on the day of homogenization. Chill.
