DNA injection solution

To prepare 20 µL of DNA solution, combine:

• DNA construct driving expression of the fluorescent protein of interest at a final concentration of 50–100 ng/µL (5 ng/µL if Gal4-UAS constructs are used)

• Danieau’s solution (30×), diluted to 1×

• Phenol red (optional), 2.5% (v/v)

Add nuclease-free H₂O to 20 µL. Prepare 3- to 5-µL aliquots of this solution. Store at –20°C until use.
