PFA (4%) with Gd-DTPA
0.5 m Gd-DTPA (gadolinium-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic anhydride; Magnevist, Schering UK)
Paraformaldehyde (PFA; Sigma-Aldrich)

1. Make 1 L of a 4% (w/v) solution of PFA in PBS(P) and adjust the pH to 7.4. Store in 50 mL aliquots at –20°C. Thaw before use and keep on ice.

2. Add 40 µL of 0.5 m Gd-DTPA per 10 mL of 4% PFA to give a final concentration of 2 mm Gd-DTPA.
