Vegetable Oil (EGTA-Washed)

To wash vegetable oil (e.g., Wesson soybean oil) with EGTA, add equal volumes of EGTA and vegetable oil to a 50-mL polypropylene tube with lid. Shake to mix completely and allow mixture to sit and settle into the two layers over the next few days.
