ICRAC Pipette Solution for Passive Depletion

Cesium aspartate 120 mm
EGTA (or tetracesium BAPTA)  10 mm
HEPES  10 mm
MgCl2  3 mm
NaCl  8 mm
Adjust pH to 7.2 with CsOH (not below 7.2 because CRAC channels are blocked by low pH, a pH of up to 7.4 can also be used). Adjust osmolarity to ∼300 mOsm. Sterile-filter, then aliquot and store at −20°C. Note that some buffering agents (e.g., BAPTA) are unstable at RT and one should follow instructions of the supplier for storage and handling.
