| 1 protease inhibitor cocktail tablet (Roche) for the appropriate volume of homogenization buffer |
| The homogenization buffer without DTT or protease inhibitors can be stored at –4°C for up to 6 mo. Once DTT and protease inhibitors are added, the homogenization buffer should be stored at –20°C in 10-mL aliquots; it will last for up to 1 yr under these conditions. |
