| Heat to dissolve, then filter-sterilize. (Alternatively, add 100 g of ammonium sulfate to 34 g of YNB without ammonium sulfate, without amino acids.) Store at room temperature in the dark. The shelf life of this solution is ∼1 yr. Note that P. pastoris shows optimal growth at somewhat higher YNB concentrations; therefore, this YNB formulation is twice as concentrated as the standard formulation for Saccharomyces. | |
