Bleaching Solution for Immunofluorescence

Reagent Volume (for 100 mL) Final concentration
PBS (10×; pH 7.4) 10 mL   1×
Formamide 5 mL   5%
Peroxide (30%) 4 mL 1.2%
H2O 81 mL
Add the formamide and peroxide to the larger volume of PBS, in that order only; formamide and peroxide can become explosive if mixed directly together. This solution must be made fresh. Do not store.
