Phosphate-Buffered Saline (PBS; 1×)
Prepare a 10× solution as follows:
80 mm Na2HPO4
1.5 m NaCl
20 mm KH2PO4
30 mm KCl
Prepare with milliQ-purified H2O and adjust the pH to 7.4 with 10 m NaOH. Make sure to check and adjust the pH before bringing the stock solution up to the final dilution volume. Store in the dark for up to 1 yr at room temperature.
To make a 1× working solution, mix one volume of the 10× stock solution with nine volumes of distilled H2O while maintaining pH. Store for up to 3 mo at room temperature.
