Oxacillin Solution

• 1. Dissolve 125 mg of oxacillin sodium salt (Sigma-Aldrich 28221) in 10 mL of H₂O to prepare 12.5 mg/mL oxacillin solution.

• 2. Using sterile 0.2-µm pore size syringe filters (Sarstedt 83.1826.001), filter sterilize and store the solution for up to several months at −20°C.

• 3. To prepare a 1000× stock solution (125 µg/mL), mix 100 µL of the 12.5-mg/mL oxacillin solution with 9.9 mL of autoclaved H₂O.

• 4. Store the solution for up to several months at −20°C. Use this stock solution to prepare media containing oxacillin.
