Coconut Fibers

1. Mix coconut fibers with distilled/deionized/reverse osmosis H2O in a regular 4-L autoclavable polypropylene beaker.

2. Autoclave with a standard wet cycle (15 min, 121°C, 15 PSI).

3. Squeeze the autoclaved sterilized coconut fibers to remove H2O. Pack them into individual boxes or containers.

We use 1-mL pipette tip boxes to store the sterilized coconut fibers.

4. Store at room temperature.
