Dissolve 3.3 g citric acid monohydrate (Millipore-Sigma C1909-25G) at room temperature in 2 mL sterile H2O for irrigation (B. Braun Medical Inc. 971-R5000-01). Filter-sterilize. Although the solution can be stored at −20°C, we recommend preparing immediately before its use for optimal results.
