DAB + Ni

Reagent Quantity (for 1 mL) Final concentration
DAB solution (0.3 mg/mL) 1 mL 0.3 mg/mL
NiCl2•6H2O (8%) 8 μL 0.064%
Make an 8% stock solution of NiCl2 in H2O; this can be stored indefinitely at room temperature. Prepare DAB + Ni by thawing a 1-mL aliquot of 0.3 mg/mL DAB solution and adding 8 μL of 8% NiCl2 stock solution just before use. Mix by inverting the tube several times. Do not store DAB + Ni because the nickel eventually precipitates as nickel phosphate.
