Hybe solution

Reagent Amount to add Final concentration
Formamide 25 mL 50%
SSC (20X; pH 4.5) 12.5 mL 5X
Heparin (100 mg/mL) 50 μL 100 μg/mL
Calf thymus DNA (2.5 mg/mL) 2 mL 100 μg/mL
Yeast total RNA (2.5 mg/mL) 2 mL 100 μg/mL
Tween 20 (20%) 500 μL 0.2%
SDS (20%) 2.5 mL 1%
H2O to 50 mL
Keep hybe solution RNase-free. Adjust pH to 5.0. Unused hybe solution can be stored at −20°C but should be warmed prior to use to resuspend the SDS.
