ICRAC Ca2+-Containing Bath Solution

NaCl 120 mm
Tetraethylammonium chloride (TEA-Cl)  10 mm
CaCl2*  10 mm
MgCl2  2 mm
Glucose  30 mm
HEPES  10 mm
Adjust pH to 7.2 with NaOH (not below 7.2 because CRAC channels are blocked by low pH, a pH of up to 7.4 can also be used). Adjust osmolarity to around 320 mOsm. Sterile-filter before storage.
*The amount of CaCl2 is determined by the cells’ tolerance and the current size and can vary between 0.5 and 20 mm CaCl2.
