Lysostaphin Stock Solution (2 mg/mL)

1. Prepare 20 mm sodium acetate and adjust the pH to 5.2 with 1 m acetic acid.

2. Autoclave and allow the solution to cool to room temperature.

3. In 25 mL of the 20 mm sodium acetate pH 5.2 buffer, suspend 50 mg of lysostaphin powder (AMBI LSPN-50).

4. Prepare 1-mL aliquots and store in a freezer for up to several years at −20°C or −80°C.
